Experience

I have more than 20 years private tutoring experience. I specialise in teaching to the new SAT and SAT English and Literature-based Subject Tests. I have taught English as a second language across all age groups. I am also a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner and am able to teach students with a variety of different learning styles and preferences. I cater to students who learn differently from the teaching methods taught in most New Zealand schools. I coach my students, not just tutor them. This means I really care and can easily see their unique potential. I help reframe existing approaches to learning even if past experiences have been less than successful. I build confidence in my students and help them feel good about themselves. I teach my students new techniques for understanding and retaining information easily and confidently.
